1940

1940

I almost time traveled,
to an era that shaped,
the lives of many..
in the North Yorkshire moors.
fair stood the wind..old Blighty
comes alive again.
billotted soldiers of privilege..
who dont know they are born yet,
we come with our political correctness and hygiene gel..
to white wash the fences made by Governments...tic tacking through
the war years..from here.. to eternity.
every film we ever saw.. becomes HD.
and still, the Yanks jive the best.!
as we swing and jitterbug to the
sounds of the forties.. Glen Millers
Mood sweeps an entire town..
Everybody is smiling because our hearts have been warmed..
Its a reminder of true community spirit.. a feeling from way back..
Forces are everwhere.. a child cries
at the station, the Sargent Major is billowing orders.. Maybe its not politically correct.. But get used to it.. You need to be strong in this life..
We are fighting psychological wars..
Just a snowflake in proportion to these poor bugars.. .
