2001 My Space Odyssey

When I was a young man in nineteen sixty-eight, I saw a famous flick;
Called “2001 A Space Odyssey”, and its essence on me would stick!
For it was a portent into our future, and what mankind would someday see;
But I never dreamt of how that year, would become a “very important part” of me!
For on July 26th two thousand one, my soulmate came to earth;
Via a Bichon Friese puppy litter, as his doggie Mommy gave him birth!
Twelve weeks later we went and bought him, the most beautiful of them all;
His new Mommy and I heard our hearts sing, for in love we’d quickly fall!
The first time that I held him, our souls joined up as one;
And in that glorious instant, my “space Odyssey” had begun!
For we traveled to the stars and back, so many times a day;
He showed me where Nirvana was, and how there to always stay!
Of course, by natures’ own strict law, “Whatever comes down must go back up”;
And in a little less than fourteen years, I lost my soulmate pup!
But he often comes to visit me, in dreams that are so dear;
And when it comes my time to rise up too, again he will always be so near!

This is a lovely memory of our little Nico and I just simply adore that picture of him. When you see him in your next dream please give him lots of cuddles from his auntie G and tell him I love him lots and smother Cody with lots of kisses and cuddles from me too.
This piece is beautiful and it makes me feel very proud that I can be a tiny part of your lives through your work and I love you for allowing me that privilege my Larry. I am in the process of writing some more poems for Nico and will post them soon
I love you both, give my Linda a hug and a kiss for me
G xx
Hi our dear G,
I disagree with a few of your words in the comment, because "au contraire", you are not a tiny part of our lives, you are a very large one! How could a soulmate not be a major makeup of ones being. We also consider you, Nico and Codys Auntie G, as their surrogate soulmate too.Â
We will love you forever,
Linda and Larry
