2:40 AM

2:40 AM

You were sitting right next to me on the sand when I took this picture.
It doesn’t help that I have the most peculiar memory.
I remember how you looked at me, how you said my name and how you held me so tight as if I might blow away… as if we would never see each other again.
My two favorite things were with me that day, the ocean and you.
The difference between you two is that the ocean will always be there.
The similarity I have with it is that I’m constantly blue.
I don’t want this hollowness to be filled with the tears I shed.
I want it to be filled with you.
I was so high off of you… high off your smile, your scent, the way you would sing to me, your laugh.
My gosh, that laugh.
You laughed at what I would say and your laugh just filled the emptiness that lived inside of me.
