A BANANA'S TALE

A green banana was hanging from a tree
On a pretty green field overlooking the sea
He hung around with others in bunches
Cut down when ripe was one of their hunches

Wasn't long before the green banana was yellow
Sure enough cut down by a most likeable fellow
Shipped off and taken to who knows where
All missing the tree but nobody seemed to care

This banana finished up on a supermarket shelf
Far away from the tree located in the Commonwealth
Taken to a home from the likes of me and you
An interesting journey so incredible and true

The fish of the sea

Ha this was such a clever and inspiring write Kieran! It's so light but tasty as well. Perhaps... like a banana? ;) but I did like the poem, it's such a contrast from other writes on here. All the best. The Fish of the Sea.
