A BRAVE CONNECTION

A brave heart as a soldier stood,
his mission was branded to do all good.
He kissed his children as he said goodbye,
a warm tear fell from his wife's eye.
He slowly walked to the front door,
thinking he will never see his family anymore.
A gentle wave from his firstborn,
He smiled and said, " I willΒ video you in the morn".
The front door closed and a silence hovered.
A feeling of mourning had the room covered.
The truck started and as he pulled out,
his wife ran near the truck as she started to shout.
"Please honey, go another day,
I feel strange about you leaving this way."
He also felt it, and he called his commander in chief.
His commander understood, he sighed with relief.
The very next day, his plane was found
scattered along a country ground.
There were no survivors and all of the families were called,
This brave soldier was thankful his wife asked him to stall.
