Poem -

A chance for nature, of land and sea to flourish

Good from bad/light from dark

15/05/2020
A chance for nature,
Of Land and sea to flourish

As I sit here,
Looking out,
Ā From my window pane,
At the world all around us.
I can’t help but think,
That there’s surely some good,
That can come from this end of world like virus?
Once ridden,
Us and our world,
We will all soar once again.
Time is a healer to the planet.
Not just kids,
men and women.
But nature too,
Its all about the planet,
Making up our ecosystem...

A chance for nature,
Of Land and sea to flourish.
Whilst we are isolating,
All the worlds fish and natures gifts multiplying.
There’s no way we’ll become malnourished.
Not just these but the fruit on our trees.
The crops in the fields and grassy meadows filling,
From the cold darkness of the winter,
And springing into the warmth that the sun will be giving..
Let’s just hope this virus,
Becomes more forgiving....

So back to my window pane.
It’s hard at the moment,
To just simply wake for the day.
Seemingly,
At the moment,
Every day is alike,
Very much the same....
The postman,
I’ve noticed,
Is the only consistent one.
Everyday he's bang on time.
As we await in our homes,
For our boredom spending to arrive..
I keep ordering clothes,
I’m now wondering why.
As by the time I get to wear them,
Nothing will fit,
with my lack of daily exercise!
By the end of this,
I’ll have gone from a 30 inch,
To a 38 inch waist size!

A chance for nature,
Of Land and sea to flourish.
Whilst we are isolating,
All the worlds fish and natures gifts multiplying.
There’s no way we’ll become malnourished.
Not just these but the fruit on our trees.
The crops in the fields and grassy meadows filling,
From the cold darkness of the winter,
And springing into the warmth that the sun will be giving..
Let’s just hope this virus,
Becomes more forgiving....

So hello,
It’s me again,
Ā sitting here,
Admiring the stillness outside,
From inside,
At my window pane.
Watching the wind,
Now swaying the trees,
That earlier sun was just a tease.
A little touch,
Of brighter days to come.
A Little touch,
Of the warmth from the sun.
At least we can enjoy it in the garden,
Just within our own setting,
Not down the park,
Like some are still forgetting.
Just don’t mix and we’ll all be good.
But carry on like this,
And we’ll all become this virus' food,
Making it consume each other,
Ā just cos of a stupid,
early,
easing back move...

A chance for nature,
Of Land and sea to flourish.
Whilst we are isolating,
All the worlds fish and natures gifts multiplying.
There’s no way we’ll become malnourished.
Not just these but the fruit on our trees.
The crops in the fields and grassy meadows filling,
From the cold darkness of the winter,
And springing into the warmth that the sun will be giving..
Let’s just hope this virus,
Becomes more forgiving....

As I sit here and I’m gazing,Ā
Thinking of any good that could come out of this period,
Wouldn’t that be amazing!
I suppose it will go down,
In history,
Like the great plague of london,
But instead,
a worldwide catastrophe.
They say ā€˜no pain,
No gain',
But what good is that advice right now,
For you and for me,
If there’s no way in winning?
Well there is,
But the futile amongst us,
Will keep the virus brimming...
Unless we are all on the same team,
That’s when the foot will change,
And it will be us I can trust,
Not this damned virus,
To finally get this world back to its state,
Of us smiling and grinning.
Cherishing each living moment,
If you didn’t in the past.
As this is living proof,
How this virus,
Could have been earths last.
Were hoping we’re gonna stop it,
Before it spreads too fast....

A chance for nature,
Of Land and sea to flourish.
Whilst we are isolating,
All the worlds fish and natures gifts multiplying.
There’s no way we’ll become malnourished.
Not just these but the fruit on our trees.
The crops in the fields and grassy meadows filling,
From the cold darkness of the winter,
And springing into the warmth that the sun will be giving..
Let’s just hope this virus,
Becomes more forgiving....
Lets hope this virus ceases from living.
How do we burn it and kill it?
Douse out its existence?
I’m hoping we can,
If we keep up the persistence.
There’ll finally be an end,
To this horrid pestilence!
As at the moment,
If I step out into the big wide world,
All I’m hearing is silence.....
But they say silence is golden,
So I wonder,
When I step into the world again,
What’s it hiding,
What’s it now beholding?....
