A Christmas Song

A Christmas Song

The strangest worlds
Remain
Locked away

Beyond
Clear glass chimes that,
Softly play

See the children twirl by
...then again,
In the Christmas scene
On a biscuit tin

And then beyond
In frosted streets
Where those festive lights
Dance on joyous feet

And all the while
Strange keys
Play on
In the haunted notes
Of our Cristmas song

Marion pure class that captivates and enchants and a warm glow after reading.
Like a trip down memory lane and your words are its guiding cobbled footpath.
Superb poem and thank you for sharing those warm and most welcomed memories. x.

weren't you?

I think now
I might have kept a thing
