a crooked smile

The one with the crooked smile,
The crooked smile, enough; seemingly yet not enough to cover the pain,
To hide the burdens life had compelled against one,
Not wide enough to hide the truth boiling within oneself,
Yet the same crooked smile; acting as a mask ,
It was Ironic,
The crooked smile that hides pain,
Also the identical smile that screams pain,
The pain of the past; the almost lover, the sleepless nights, the heartbreak,
All compacted into one, crooked pretty little smile,
How Is it that one smile can hide, yet reveal, more than what could ever be put into words,
The smile forced on one to wear by the pain of the past,
The smile of the broken.
