A Dancer
To my Line dance teacher Marian

She dances with freedom across the room
With grace, charm, and her beauty's bloom
Moving like ribbons to the call of the winds
But, innocent at nightfall in a space with blinds.
' Body wave' in motion as she steps
Sometimes breaks a leg as she flips
To tell a story in rhythm with the body
And leaves a lasting impression to everybody.
Zealously following the music all along
Counting numbers so nothing goes wrong
With fancy swirls from heel to hip
Following the crack of a whip.

Dancing is something I have never been good at! Love the poem x
I understand. It's not the cup of tea for everyone....?
I love dancing; it allows me emote my feelings...I feel the rhythm of the music, and it sooh smooth and cool.
Don't worry, there are good teachers out there....we do it for fun. I'm a new member of the Fun linedancers. Its members are of different age. The older one is above 80.
The lady on the picture is my Line dance teacher.
thanks for reading my poem.
Fantastic description I feel the music ???
Thank you; I feel the rhythm as well.
My Dear Leah,
From the time I was a little boy, my Mother, having been a professional tap dancer, and my Father, a Mambo King, were my great teachers.
We have all had a certain dance teacher
That inspires us and makes our bodies move
We watch their fluid movements
As we get into our groove
All my love,
Larry xxx
Dancing has always been my passion ever since I was a kid too... I was active at school: drama, singing and dancing, but it stopped when I went to college and university. Then I got me a job and went abroad, got married, worked... etc.. Now i feel I'm reborn again .
Thanks again for your lovely comments.
