Poem -

a dark place

a dark place

In a dark place now.

Lived my whole life through the lens of a foggy back-seat window.

The momentum's got me drifting,

Flipping

and spinning

through dusty bookshelves and worn out mementos so fast I almost forgot how to smile

At

a

Still

moment.

The intermittent chirping of the clock that lives in my head that would swear its single duty is to chime

in at the worst and only time.

Now free to trip over piles of

pencil shavings

and broken floorboards

I instead choose to sit in the bushwhack thicket of my ream. Closest to my heart but farthest from

the truth.

I single handedly two-facedly half-mindedly obstructed upon the single vision of truth that has ever been revealed to one such as I and in the time it took to write this epitaph that vision has died and a new one was not born. But…

                                                   Whatever.
