A Dead Person’s Point of View

A Dead Person’s Point of View

The day begins and I awake restless
Waiting for the clock to hit five
In a soulless body with thoughts that are endless
Looking for answers or help to arrive.
Help me! Help me! My mind screams,
While my body remains inert; without life
All that there was, now has disappeared it seems,
And all I can think about now is the afterlife.
My mistakes, and goals, and dreams are now gone
My past, my present, and my future are no more
All is left for me to do is cross beyond,
To the place where I can finally meet with the Lord.
Live life with love and intensity
So that when it’s your time to die you can go peacefully.
