A DEAL'S A DEAL

We both shook hands that was part of the betĀ
The terms and conditions were duly setĀ
Betting on something with only one winner
The outcome would result in champagne for dinner

The contest between the players was plain to see
Ebbed and flowed as all sport contests should be
At the end of the contest the winner was declared
I had backed the winner for those who caredĀ

My advice is to leave the betting well alone
One person would be ecstatic the other would moan
Sport is so unpredictable and if you want my advice
Go for a long walk instead which is just as nice
