Poem -

A DIFFERENT STAR

I am surrounded, disconnected
I am touched yet cannot feel
I am part of one great life force
That does not feel quite real

I am quite here in a body
Tethered tight and bound
Surrounded by a teeming mass
Observe colour light and sound

Yet I am watching from the outside
Yearning, so alone
I cannot find my people
I cannot find my home

I hear the voices call me
Feel a tug, a pull from far
I know that somewhere out there
My people walk a different star.

This write is wistful and hits me in the heart. How often I have. Gazed at the moon and stars.  Feeling that pull that is really hard to put into words.  You've done well here. Great write Marion

Oh, you're touched alright...by an angel! LOL.
Wonderful writing, as always, Marionette. You are truly the most connected of disconnected people I know, if that makes sense.

I have no relation to this world, so I'm joining you and Cheerie on Planet X, if you don't mind. I just have a couple of questions: do I need suntan lotion? And will an SPF of 6,000 suffice? Can I bring a ferret? And lastly, is there a Denny's there?(because I might need a Super Slam from time to time). Let me know.

Seriously, though, sometimes I detest this world so much, and feel so alone, and while I don't want you to feel like that, at least I know I'm not alone.
Nice write, young lady.

See you on Planet X(it's not a 'dirty' planet, is it?).

Hugs,
Matthew.

Thank you Wrinkly One! (Kidding!).
I've noticed you've used the word 'bloody' a lot today. Perhaps I should bring some extra band-aids to Planet X. Are you a Brit, young lady?
Also, is being a tonic a good thing? If so, thank you, if not, thank you, also. I love the way British people talk, so I hope you are British(and not just covered in blood due to some type of murdering thing). KIDDING! You're a really nice person, and I know you don't murder people. Sorry.
Please don't murder me.
Hugs,
Matthew.
