A DRAPE OF GRACE : POEM BY WILLIAMSJI MAVELI
WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES....

A drape of grace, a whispered sigh,
The saree's folds, beneath my eye.
I loved its fall, its gentle sway,
She loved the sight, in a brighter day.
White, a canvas, soft and deep,
Where zebra lines, their secrets keep.
A flash of dark, a streak of light,
Against her skin, a shining sight.
A beauty queen, with poise untold,
In silken wraps, a story scrolled.
The fabric kissed, her gentle form,
A whispered wish, a rising storm.
The zebra's dance, a bold design,
On ivory fields, a light divine.
I liked the cloth, its texture fine,
She liked the way, it made her shine.
