A DROP OF WATER FALLS TO EARTH

A drop of water, falls to earth
Clear, clean and blue

That’s how a snow flake
starts its life
Falling slowly down to you

And as it hits the earth it lies
A blanket white and cold
A wonderful horizon
A beauty to behold

As It falls, it deepens
details left bereft
Nothing there to see now
but the footsteps we have left

So, we look back
At the path, we’ve walked
like gazing to the past
the footsteps mark our journey
from our first step to our last

we look ahead, at canvas blank
and wonder what’s instore
it’s absolutely magical
the splendor of it all

the sky is clear
the slightest sound
is heard from far and wide
the roads, all covered white and soft
like their waiting for a bride

Then suddenly, it’s gone
As quickly as it came
Melting, and reforming
Into water drops again
