A Drunk Man's Prayer

The line
The lines
The gradients
The boundaries
The things we don't see
Those wires that trip us up
Just when we think we are free

.

This tug
This boat
This leaky canoe
I've got to get out of it
Yes' that's what I must do

.

That spot
That land
That solid ground
That place with clear markers
It will stop me getting drowned
It will stop me going round and round

.

I see
I see it
I see it there
A rock that's high
That is higher than I
Perhaps if I can make it
I'll discover a life that's dry
