A FAIRY TALE RETOLD

She walked right off the pages of a fairy tale and into my heart,
she was my sweet Princess and I was her Prince in the form of a frog.

With just one kiss she tuned me into a Prince and put a fire into my soul,
she had magic in her smile, sparkles in her eyes and was blessed with a heavenly glow.

With just one swoop of a magic wand she turned the pages to a new adventure,
that is when I realized my destination was in these pages wrote to last forever.

But then the book suddenly closed and my heart was trapped in these pages forever,
there was no happy ending, Princess, Prince or no happily ever after.

This is not your traditional fairy tale because the Prince did not wound up with his Princess to hold,
this is a story of real life... how break ups and life can happen, this is merely a fairy tale retold.
