A FAIRYTALE....

Till we reached a hill made
brown with greys
And there atop
A chest did lay
Ajar....

He smiled at me and stooped
down low
Reached fine hands down
Into dazzling glow
Lifted beauty up from the
inside out
Let it from his fine hands
Slide...

And there was so much colour
All around
Like a jewelled snowfall 
Upon the ground, and the quiet
stilled
And his eyes shone bright
And he threw that colour out
To black night....

For out there sat a world so
square
Alone in the black
Held in hushed dark air
Now so alive with the glittering
snow
In the colours only fairies
know...

And my heart stopped still
As I yearned to be
On that square new world
Where the peace reigned free...

But he took my hand and
Led me back
Through a star bright night
On a moon lit path, where
He kissed me
Told me, go on back
For your home is made in the
fairy glade...
