Poem -

A girl

For the longest time, I said I was straight,
I'd talk to boys and get on my knees,
I'd wear funky earrings and cuff up my jeans,
and only in my head did I debate,
But maybe with boys, I was just a tease.

Now I know this sounds crazy,
but I met a girl,
though my heart is still a bit hazy,
she makes me so nervous I bite my tongue and in my hair my fingers twirl.

So maybe I'm not so straight,
maybe she was my calling,
Maybe she's fate,
But oh my God for her I'm falling.
