A guiding light of reality 🌕

Oh mystique moon you shine down on me

As I look up above with sheer curiosity

Is your bright beam a torch for me to see?

A guiding light of reality?..

You glisten on yon deep blue ocean

I stare at you with such devotion 

Whilst starriness sparkles in poetry and motion

Our cosmic canopy of infinite explosion…

Tho I wonder as I scrutinise your face

That mighty mouth of falling grace

Yawning from your yellow headspace

Do you adore the human race?..

Coz we do not notice when you are down

Your sighing silences yon frown

As you hover up a-height above our little town

Whilst we draw the curtains in our nightgown…
