A lesson of life

I lie til the daylight disliking the dark in the mid winter’s wretchedness of it’s meloncholy mark . dismayed duskiness of caliginosity, semidarkness betwixt obscurity . long drawnout dusky days, Jack Frost’s warmth dispraise . discouraged by the dowdiness I stay in my bed, dreary thoughts of disillusion swallows up my stead
But as I listen to the birds cheerfully chirping outside they are not feeling disheartened, nor do they nestle and hide . are they singing so sweetly to send me a sign ? perched on my garden gate in the early morn somber shrine . a signal of optimism, an anticipation of hope . as I lie flat on my back in my miserable mope . so I rise out of my bed and I enjoy a shower with it’s abundance of hot running water power . cleansed and dressed I am ready to face my day, I ignore the shadiness with the gloominess grey
As I pull open my curtains to make them ajar, I gape out at the green countryside, my panoramic view from afar . there in the distance I see the most beautiful rainbow such an uplifting sight with it’s colourful glow . an hour or more has passed me by from my thoughts of disenthrall in my solitary sigh . gone is my despondency of desperation, Mother nature has overwhelmed my sense of mentation . with only the sounds and sights amidst the great outdoors my mindset has had a lesson of life from our Dame Mother’s mentors

Wow Jill, the words choices are brilliant! I got a little lounge tied, reading your poem. It was like being there with you standing next to your window, peering out at the winter landscape then being transfixed on this beautiful rainbow, a welcoming sight. Your vocabular bank is rich, well done. I had to look up several of the words. The alliteration sounded like music.Â
Keep up the fantastic work.Â
