A Letter On Faith Through Suffering

A Letter On Faith Through Suffering

Would that you were worthy to suffer something for Love
What glorious understanding would then be yours
How happy the universe and God above
Would be to find your warmth and tenderness adored
How happy I would be as well
Just to know a part of me could tell
The difference between the heart of things
And the treasons that grow in hell
What a marvelous sound would ring through the streets
As your innocence spread through the hearts of men
Appreciated and recognized as angelic feats
Whispered and written again and again
By eyes that watched from above
Like the purist of the Templar Knights
The soldiers that fought for our Lord
Yours would be the songs of faith
Written by poets and countrymen throughout the world
All of these things and so much more
If you were worthy to suffer for Love
What glorious understanding would then be yours
But as I observe with eyes from above
I have yet to find your heart beat with Love
And I am utterly dismayed
For it's true that you've forgotten the Word
Given from eyes beyond and far above
So today, from my knees, I did pray
That you learn these lessons of Love....

Wow Tony,
not usually a fan of the whole love poetry mushy thing (which most seems to be.)
But this piece resonates as a flaw with man.
