A Little Indiscretion

A Little Indiscretion

If I said I wanted you
more than any other woman
And for what its worth
in more ways than you might
care to imagine ..
Would you ever dare
to be alone with me ..
Would you take away
this hunger
Would you relieve me
of this pain
Would you quench
the thirst I have for you
and leave me speechless
once again ..

Before I leave you though
there is something
I must first get off my chest
Whatever number you
may once have been
it is time now, to remove
that mask and step outside
To discard the shield
you so well hide behind ..
Forgive me though if I do not
mention you by name ..

However, since these words
are likely to remain
Long after you are forgotten
treat this minor indiscretion
as a compliment ..
There now, are you satisfied
having crushed the old man
who dared to share his
most private thoughts with you
It seems to him,
you had a change of heart
Whilst his was merely broke in two
is that’s how you get your kicks
these days, I feel the need to ask ..

Well forgive me won’t you darling
if I now quit writing ..
I choose to do that just to spite you
And will leave you now
to all your
favourite domestic routines ..
To roughly thirty years of boredom
to familiar fucks
and thoughts of distant balconies
Of cornfields and telephone boxes
and all those other places
where we might have, more than once
Exchanged our DNA's  …

Being Me

Wow! Writing like this means you CANNOT quit, ever! You HAVE to keep writing! (Well  okay, you don't but if you didnt it would be a travesty). The world needs to read your words my friend...you have a gift and writing like this proves it!  For the love of ink, do not retire your pen (sounds a bit wrong but you know what I mean) x
