Out on the pier

We are walking. Out on the pier
It is dusk. The wind is in a frenzy
Whipping up the waves
laying white foam before usĀ
like a late snow which
We never get anyway
It is pleasantĀ  Invigorating
I wonder why we didn't do
This whilst you were still alive
It's nice to do it now
Even if we're both
A little more dead

So very painful, the very wish that you were walking with him will never leave you, this is beautiful grief, as I know all so well. 🌹
