A Lone Musician
God,
What have I to rely on
In this precarious life
Or,
Of all the things, upon which you gaze
Which is my greatest comfort?
I believe it is you ~ The One God
For without you
I cannot hear the music...
I feel when you're away from me,
When I do not keep in touch
I am frivolous and flounder
It is in those moments, I recognize
I am lost in the strings and notes
And I recall the mantra,
"How could things EVER go amiss,
when you are with me?"
I would rather be poor and hear your opera
Than have golden riches without you,
I would rather be a lone musician
Traveling the earth alone with you
Rather than experiencing heavenly music
Without you,
For wherever you are there is heaven
And where you are not
There is a solo,
I cannot comprehend...
It is in you I place all my faith and trust
On you, I lay down my worries
My aria's and anxieties,
You are the finality of everything good in me
The pinnacle of my search,
The essence of my tonality,
I am a lone musician,
Come home,
To find his instructor...

Such beauty in your metaphors of music pertaining to God
