a Meditation of Mercy

a Meditation of Mercy

My soul blesses the Lord,
even everything within me;
forgets none of His benefits,
so bidding us to our knee.

Our God forgives all our sins,
heals all our diseases,
redeems us from destruction,
crowning us with His tender mercies.

The Lord is slow to be angry,
His mercy is ever plenty;
so will not reward us as He should,
but grants us everlasting mercy.

God’s mercy is to those that fear Him,
for He knows our human frame;
our sins He has passed,
to Jesus who takes our blame.

Man’s days are as grass,
in a moment it is gone;
unlike God’s everlasting mercy,
that's anew each and every morn.
