A Mothers Day

A Mothers Day,
Never ending,
No we are not pretending,
We cook and clean,
Clean and cook,
How we don't go insane.
Morning starts,
Bright and early,
Wake the little ones for school,
Breakfast served,
Brush your teeth,
Get out that door, before you're late.
Make your list,
To start the day,
Look how many chores there is,
Coffee is our favorite friend.
Dishes done, as of now,
After dinner more to come,
Sweep the floors,
Scrub them clean,
Only for more crumbs to grow,
What the hell is on my floor?
Climb the mountains,
Of thy laundry,
Wash the dirt from the knees,
Scrub the stains out of these,
Wash, fold and put away,
What a lovely routine to sway,
I just cleaned that yesterday.
Pick up toys,
Dust the shelves,
Endless hours of no fun,
Where did all this mess come from?
Watch out for that Lego!
After school,
Become a teacher,
"Mommy, Mommy, come help me!"
What is this your working on?
What the hell is Common Core?
You have to add to subtract?
I think your teachers out of whack!
Where did this ten come from?
Off to bed,
Time to go,
Stay up late,
Sleep deprived,
Only to have a piece of mind.
