A Nail Biting Finish

I sit idle staring at the test that will determine my future.
The SAT is staring right back at me, it's staring into my soul.
I sit in silence listening to the clock tick by.
Minute after minute my anxiety gets worse and worse.
My nails find their way to my mouth and I begin chewing away.
The sound draws the attention of the other students making it worse.
As the time ticks down to the last minutes my fingers begin to bleed.
For there is no nail left to bite.
