A Nation’s Pride and Glories

Historical monuments are a nations pride and glories
Signs of those bygone times that tells us past stories
Tho how it was then may not be how it is now
Each and everyone of us should respect that somehow

One cannot change what has gone before nor should anybody have the right to chastise with abhor
Our ancestors did what they did for a reason and yes these actions may have been immoral but they would have fought for high treason
History is a legacy that has moulded our current ages
Written in marvelous manuscripts on gold gilt pages

One another should be proud of our statues that stand prominent on the streets
These World leaders witnessed valiant victories from drubbing defeats
Statuary sculptures mark a message within memories and therefore should remain for our future generation’s treasuries
