A poet in disguise

Much to my surprise,happy,sad,in between,
a poets mask can rarely be seen,
what do I mean,let my words do the talking,
a poets verse can be pleasent or terse,
a poets emotions can be good or bad,
he or she can talk about the future or the past,
a poet can describe just about anything,
he or she can mince words or speak freely,
a poet can lift your spirit make you cry,
a poets life is never dull,

a poets story is certainly one to tell 
a poet in disguise.
