~ A Question Of Surrender ~

~ A Question Of Surrender ~

Did I touch the stars, unrealized
Was my kiss, potent
Was it inherent in my carnal capacity
Or just, latent possibilities
Where I could see the future
From my crystalline orb
Control the birds
As the earth's spin
Controls the vista
Framing
Those elusive stars
That my beliefs
Instill?...

Shall I pour the bloody wine
That Osiris may touch the moon
Or does my potential
Contain more
Than a universe contains
Shall I take the olive branch
And offer the Gods
My refrain
Or will another, be my belief
Driving my desire
As a freight train
By pumping my taste
For Love's
Embrace
Through confidence
And
Potential,
Dare I admit
I have
Succumbed,
'Tis True
I am Yours,
Dear Lord,
I am Yours...

"Dare I admit

Dear Lord,

What a way to end the poem! There's so much spirit in this poem. As for the questions, I sometimes wonder whether we are ever going to get all of them answered. Our very existence is a mystery. And the world, also buried in mysteries.

My Dear Tony,

As we approach the final stages of our lives, we look to the stars for answers about the mysteries of our existence.  Many of us have questioned its creator, but, as time rolls on, we quest for the serenity of our mortality.  Your beautiful words, have illustrated how we hunger for the truth.
As usual, you pen the odes of unparalleled beauty.

All my love,
Larry xxx
