Poem -

A RAT'S LIFE

Going underground where the sewers are
There are much better places by far
The smell is rancid and gets on my nose
Just part of being a rat I guess and suppose

I live on the food that you throw away
All kinds of scraps at anytime of the day
Considered vermin by those in the know
I don't hang about and certainly not slow

To be a perfect pet is my one ambition
My one true goal and ultimate mission
So if you see me around don't set an alarm
I cause you no ill and definitely no harm
