A SAILOR'S WIFE

A SAILOR'S WIFE

So long you have been out at seaĀ
I wonder if you will remember meĀ
It was me who waved you goodbye at the quay
The loneliness and emptiness then I could not foreseeĀ

After four years away you return once moreĀ
Being a sailors wife is hard that's for sureĀ
I wonder what sailors go to sea for
However so pleased that you are back home safe and secure
