A serenity of a stillness❤️

A serenity of a stillness❤️

Amidst the dusky darkness he held her dainty hand

Particles of fine white powder shimmered on the icy land

After a significant snowfall that smothered the silky sand

And moonbeams spotlighted them both, as if it was planned

“My darling mademoiselle, will you please be my bride?”

She stared into his hazel eyes, longingly and cried

As her heart skipped a beat, filled with pride

No longer had that secret crush for him, to be denied

Her cheeks blushed and burned, as she whispered “I will”

Whilst yon twinkling stars sparkled in the cold winters chill

They embraced each other, feeling such an awesome thrill

Wishing that this moment would last forever, within a serenity of a standstill…
