A single tear

A single tender
timid tear
 trickling
down my pail
pain painted face .
Leading it’s
pleading sulking serenade .
Which reflects
 back to me
a bitter
burning memory .
Of when our
love like a dove
 flew into the
saddened sea
of fantasy.

WOW!! EDWARD!!....Fantastic use of alliteration here!!.....which in turn has made for some VERY compelling phrasing and a kind of romantic longing that I have not seen/read here on Cosmo for quite some time!!.....The heartbreak is so well conveyed that I wish I could give this piece more than just 5 Stars!!.......Well conceived and BEAUTIFULLY delivered!!......ALL STARS!! & PINNED!!.....Bravo dear poet brother!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.....T xo  : )
PS. great choice with the Sinatra tune!!

Where the vine has grown

The seed towards originality requires some sort of sacrifice in...

Grimly grown
Into the
youthful
yearnings
towards
being alone.
