A Skin Full

A Skin Full

I'm weeping..
the ochre smeg oozes
from huge mushrooms
to my dispair...spills on the
pristine floor cleaned
twice daily by service
staff..
I don't care.
It's not my leg,
it's contaminated...
the pain is worse
than giving birth
My sheets are stained,
and I just stare,
into the hospital
corners of what's
not there.
I'm lagged like a tank..
of fluid blisters,
which dried as
pork crackling ..
forever festering
in memories,
peeled off in sheets.
revealing new born
skin...
and I'm glad..
it's mending.
and all from a
mosquitos bite
