A SNOW YEAR

We shall walk up in the
winter's depth
When the sky exudes it's
leaden grey
When the paths wind glass
blue through the hills
And the flowers are all put
away
We shall walk and walk
Through tired fields
So exhausted from their
summer yield
And maybe pause
Upon the pass
To marvel at the soft white
grass
Yes, we shall stroll and talk
With ancient time
Your ambling spirit lifting
mine
And remember how you blew
away
With the long gone leaves
Of yesterday
And if we should
Glance back perchance
And see four prints marked
out
We shall laugh and never bat
an eye
For we knew it son
Without a doubt...that...
Nothing ever die's
