A snowy scenic sight

Covered in a carpet colourless so cold
I decline invitations to be bravely bold
My excuse is that I am getting old
I detest winter’s wrath with it’s algor stronghold

Shivery snow spills from the sky
Blankets of bleak without welcome I sigh
soon Spring will break thu by and by
as seasons splurge on in the blink of an eye

A bleached alabaster
Such a snowy scenic sight
Pure pearliness pasty white
A child’s absolute delight
My dire dreadful display of despite
