A spark of hope

The kindness in my eyes was nothing to match the pain in hers
Somewhere deep down the darkness stirs
It calls to her like a telephone
Her tears inside, shed love to disown
To let the tears roll down her cheeks, would bring pure ecstasy
She cries out, almost breathlessly
"Save me now, save me from the blackness or I'll never be able to go back..."
Something rose up in the black
A single flame
To show her where her heart should aim...
