A Wind Chime

was it I who heard the wind
speak
rocking it's chimes from the
cradle of branch
uncaring if I or another
perchance, should happen
upon its fine lilt...
haunting, melodic, indifferent
to all
vying with bird song to ring out
it's call
tinkling and plinking in musical
charms
in melodic beauty...in whispers
of calm
was it I who heard the wind
speak
swaying and soothing in
mystical chimes, singing it's
song to the earth and a sky
rocking the trees with a fine
lullabye
completely indifferent to all
and to I
uncaring if I was... perchance,
to pass by...

Hi Marion, I really enjoyed reading your poem. Amazing the power of words to connect with the spirit. I thought it was really well written.
Hi Greg...really appreciate you taking the time my friend...thankyou x
My goodness it's a day for poetry! Wow Marion this is pure beauty here. The connection to nature, hearing the subtle sounds that we take for granted. There is a sadness which encompasses this write. Where passed voices are lost in the wind, and only those who have suffered great loss, have an ear to hear their calls, their song
I loved this so much ❤️
Hugs xoxo
Aw thankyou Gwen...appreciated love ❤️
Beguiling poetry Marion and one from the heart.
A beating heart of a poem and a tad Shakespearean tragedy in places.
And beautifully forlorn and one's inner spirit calling to itself as if through a glass darkly laden with self doubt and two alternative paths to follow one that can be and one that could have been.
Thank you Marion and hugs to you. Welsh hugs. The best.❤️
And will raise my game for you tomorrow.
Nos da.
