A Wing and A Prayer

Silly of us to lose him really
Carelessness
To let go of him for a single
second
We should have nailed him down
Lest he float away
Like a balloon 

Ridiculous really, that he got so
far
Not a good leg walking
No bus or car, yet

I can picture him floating
Up there
Can't You??
Getting by on a wing and a prayer
Or two
Laughing and loving it
In gods own town
Pausing every now and then to
Glance back down
And wave
