A ZOOKEEPER'S PLIGHT

Animal noises keep me awake every night
The perils of being a zookeeper that's my plight
Sheep bleating while the lions roar
Difficult to sleep that's for sure

It's hard to say the noisiest animal of them all
Maybe a pig snorting or perhaps an owl's mating call
Whatever the answer sleep is difficult to come
Almost like listening to a constant banging drum

So if you want my advice and want your sleep
Don't apply for an occupation that involves a zoo to keep
