Aaliyah, the name of a girlΒ
I once met in my dreams
Whose beauty and prowess
Was truly supreme
Whose effortless luster
Could lift laying lions
Whose touch I imagine
Was something serene
The sound of her voice like
Musical notes
Lullaby language
With sprinkles of hope
I..loved what she said
And never could cope
With the thought of her
Being a dream
Someone so real and yet so surreal
Her tears on the earth gave birth
And could heal
We traveled the world
And crossed every field
I'll never forget who you were
Although it may seem but only
A dream that may just go poof
What mystical means
Had brought you
Here to my mind
For Aaliyah was
A gift from above Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
Covered in blessings
Dripping in love
And never again will
Someone descend
