Poem -

ABANDONED

Left in the cold,

Like an abandoned kitten.

No one to own me,

as those who were once so smitten.

I have no words to say,

as the thoughts in my mind keep turning,

The pictures I had,

have become unfocused,

like a polaroid photo,

left in a dark damp basement.

I believe in advanced warnings,

before the keys to my heart & mouth are opened,

only for u-turn decisions,

are made to make me feel like an imposition,

and the stupidity of my actions,

have turned me into a mute with no reaction.

Mountain dew tears,

smiling without care.

Talking as got me nowhere,

but in this moment of time silence has taken me here.....
