About the size of a pea

About the size of a pea

There’s a bump in my breast about the size of a pea
Oh my goodness what can it be ?
The thought of that ā€˜C’ word terrifies meĀ
I’ll go straight to the Doctors and let her see

It’s not squishy or squashy but tender and sore
I cannot help touching itĀ
I’m making it raw
Coz I know that it’s there it is driving me mad
I wish I knew what it wasĀ
I am feeling so sad

So I go to the Doctors
I amĀ  nervous as hell
The sweats pouring out of me
I bet she can tell
I strip off my top and I lie on the bed
with my arms folded up at the back of my head

Well a couple weeks later and my lump is away
I am so relieved I have rid my dismay
It was a cyst filled with fluid I am so pleased to say
A Doctor injected a needle into it that very day
I didn’t even need to get an xray

Being Me

Thank heavens it was just a cyst. So worrying when lumps are discovered. It must feel like a weight lifted from your shoulders x
