Above the Eagle Flies

Where daffodils they cover hills
Where pine are twined in vine
Where fence are built of post of oak
Where rivers turn and wind
Where majesty are open seas
Ships sail through rain and hail
Where stories told by the old
Young children listen well
Where fields of wheat are grown from seed
And cared for are our weak
Where to right a wrong it keeps us strong
And strengthens our beliefs
Where the mountains reach up and touch the skies
And above the eagle flies
Where a breath of wind is whispered friend
And cherished is all life
Where a flag it waves upon the hill
Where freedom reins ever still
Where love is not just another word
