I twisted a worm from the ground, and

it broke in half.

Abstract death is irrelevant to the mind

for size, importance and elevation in life

does not manifest for the lesser.

How wealth treats the impoverished

or the homeless is abstract

as we postulate our golden calf high

amidst those who envy.

The worm’s death taught me this relevancy

that we do not use our empathy

for the ultimate dwelling of caring is Godly.

What worth have we in the Universe?

I dare not ask such a question.

We will draw and quarter a man

and never think less of our killing method.

How long does mankind need to ascertain

the laws and principles of Light?

We are doomed on this chariot of gold

until we ourselves are pulled from the ground

to live as a ‘headless wonder’.

Perhaps in this abstract- God lives …
