Acid tears ( ground weeping ).

Acid tears ( ground weeping ).
____________________________________
The ground looked as though
it was weeping
when it opened up old wounds
innocence beyond the waking steps
in dissolution
Frozen minds and blood racing
No time to blink an eye
The earth an acid tear to cry
How shamed
was the fight against the cracks
Beneath all sound
Silence echoing in light speed
Like a falling kingdom
Hit the ground
Facing disbelief everywhere
Looking around
How the gravel aching stretched
Miles away and beyond
Calculations of endless aching
Destruction in minds view
Nothing but the fragments
An acid tear or two
A once soul pathway
Road to hills and meadows
Has risen from the earth
To open the wounds of sacrifice
No calculated worth
Taking into the deepest depths
All bodies broken bound
Nothing but the sound of silence
Acid tears
from within the ground
Old wounds freshly breathing
Raindrops trickle down
Taking in the aching
A whole within the ground
Opened up to breath again
Swallowing all with pride
Nothing but The silent tears
Of acid can be found

Inspired by a recent sinkhole opening within the earth.
I love poetry that addresses the natural world. Acid tears does it justice.
I agree with Kimmy Alan!!........this is a VERY compelling write Big Sis!!...........the imagery was very detailed.........I could almost smell the earth in this Deano!!.........impressive all around...........smiles.......T xx
