Addiction

When does an addiction happen? 
When does it suck you in? 
Is it something that creeps up on you
Or is it there when you first begin.?. 

Is it woken with the first "HIT" 
Or with the first sip of a drink?
Is it waiting patiently just to see 
how low you'll sink?

It's one and only purpose 
Is to destroy the life you're living
And others are affected it's unkind and unforgiving....

Addiction doesn't have to stay. 
But YOU'LL have to fight for it to leave 
And it's only when your mind is set 
That you might succeed...

Addiction has no mercy 
It doesn't care if you live or die 
It could knock on anyone's door
So "There for the grace of God go I".
