Advice from an Uncle

Loving is personal
Love is a private emotion to be enjoyed in our own way
A kiss is an expression of emotion shared by each other, to each other
A hug and a kiss, morning and night, starts and ends the day
Making sure the day starts and ends on a happy note, making sure the day is complete
Bare in mind love is not a given right, it has to be learnt. There is always something to be learned about love
If you ain't seen love, you ain't seen nothing yet
Give all your love to each other, obey the heart
Love is born from the pleasure of looking at each other, it is fed with the necessity of seeing each other, and it is concluded with the impossibility of not seeing each other
Live for each other and make sure your life together is lived as one

This was written by a wonderful man - David Ivall Garrud - for our wedding back in December 2010. He was due to attend in person but was to poorly so sent us this amazing reading instead which he penned himself. I am sure you will agree it is the most amazing advice and so beautifully written.....
We wanted to share his amazing wisdom by posting his words here, please feel free to use his words but if you do remember to thank our gentle giant

This is good advice. I gave this advice to my daughters when they were married....That they need to turn to their partner each night and say, " I may not always agree with something you have said or done, but I love you!" Thay way they know they love each other and that anything can be worked out! Mr. Garrud wrote a fine poem with great advice. Thank you for sharing! The Shaker
